PET Filament Student Workbook

Updated: Feb 9

This workbook guides students through a hands-on learning process focused on recycling, circular economy and sustainability using PET bottles as a starting point. It includes structured activities to explore plastic waste, understand its environmental impact and connect these challenges with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Students work through research tasks, analysis of real examples and guided activities to understand how PET bottles can be transformed into 3D printing filament. The workbook supports idea generation, product definition and reflection on sustainability impact, combining environmental awareness with creative and technological thinking.

Throughout the workbook, students document their learning, decisions and results using clear templates that encourage teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking. The activities are designed to be completed step by step, making the learning process visible and easy to follow for both students and teachers.
