PET Recycling Machine Teacher Guide

This teacher guide supports the implementation of the PET Filament Pathway through a clear, classroom-ready structure. It provides learning objectives, session planning and practical guidance to help educators introduce circular economy concepts through the real transformation of PET bottles into 3D printing filament.

The resource is organised as a step-by-step teaching flow, combining technical understanding of the PET recycling machine (parts, functions, setup and use) with active learning tasks that strengthen digital competence, teamwork and communication. It also includes recommendations to link the activities with sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals, making the learning purpose explicit and easy to track.

To support smooth delivery, the guide includes implementation tips, suggested timing per activity, safety guidance for workshop-based sessions, and assessment tools (including rubrics) to evaluate both the learning process and final student outcomes such as presentations and product ideas.
